NTR Systems Inc. Water Conditioner

The NTR Water Conditioner is a complete system designed for use with ultrasound scanning tank systems. It provides microprocessor-controlled heating, de-gassing, filtration and de-ionization functions depending on the user's requirements. The system is housed in a standard 19" rack cabinet and can be used independently or can be controlled through a PC's serial port. When connected to a PC, a Windows program serves as the "front panel". Data Sheet [PDF][281kB]

The NTR Water Conditioner consists of the following functional modules:

• Rack Cabinet and Water Connections: The rack cabinet provides the housing for the water conditioner. All componenets of the water conditioner mount via standard-sized 19" panels.
• Controller: The water conditioner controller mounts in the rack above the manifold panel. The microprocessor that controls the water conditioner may be upgraded in the field to accommodate future firmware revisions
• Software: The software that is used to run the water conditioner
• Heater and Filters: The heater and filtration module provides regulated heating and filtration/de-ionization of the water
• Degasser: The degasser module removes dissolved gases from the water. It is able to bring the dissolved oxygen content of an open 100 liter water tank from about 10 parts per million down to less than 4 parts per million within about 4 to 5 hours. The degasser runs continuously so that the water will always be in a condition suitable for making measurements.
