         Choosing a Preamplifier

Note the flatness of the HGL sensitivity coupled with the AG
preamplifier.

3.2 Submersible or Non-submersible
The AH-1100, Onda’s low-cost preamplifier, is not submersible
and does not include a calibration. All other preamplifiers are
submersible and include a calibration.

3.3 Switchable or Non-switchable
The AH and AG preamplifiers are available with a single 20 dB
gain (AH-2010 and AG-2010) or switchable gain (AH-2020 and
AG-2020). The Ax-2020 are switchable preamplifiers, where
the gain can be easily switched from 0 dB to 20 dB. They come
with a separate calibration at each gain setting, and provide the
convenience of not having to remove the preamplifier for
different measurements.
